Reusable Nail Care FAQ

Reusable Nail Care FAQ

Which adhesive should I use?

Your wear goal should guide your adhesive choice:

  • 1–3 days: Use nail tabs or a light-hold nail glue.
  • Up to 7 days: Use a medium-hold nail glue. Soak in warm soapy water before gently lifting.
  • Long wear (7+ days): Strong nail glue gives the longest hold

How do I remove my press-ons safely?

  1. Soak your fingertips in warm water for 10–15 minutes to loosen the adhesive. Adding a few drops of gentle oil (cuticle or jojoba) helps.
  2. Gently wiggle the press-on from side to side, never force or peel from the tip, which can damage both the set and your natural nail.
  3. If resistance remains, soak for a few more minutes rather than forcing removal.
  4. Once removed, wipe away any residual adhesive from the underside of the press-on using a cotton pad moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

Avoid acetone-based removers on the press-ons themselves — acetone can cloud or crack the acrylic/gel material and shorten the set's lifespan.

How do I clean and sanitize between wears?

  1. After removal, clear any adhesive residue as described above.
  2. Gently scrub the underside of each nail with a soft brush and mild soap, then rinse with cool water.
  3. Wipe both sides with a 70% isopropyl alcohol pad and allow to air-dry completely before storing.
  4. Do not submerge or soak the set for extended periods — prolonged water exposure can weaken some finishes.

How should I store my press-ons?

  • Store in the original tray or a clean, dry, lidded container to protect from dust and pressure.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat, which can warp or discolor the material.
  • Avoid stacking heavy objects on top of the tray.

When is a set no longer reusable?

Retire a set if you notice any of the following:

  • Visible cracks, chips, or breaks in the nail body
  • Lifting, bubbling, or separation of the design from the base
  • Warping that prevents a flush fit to your nail
  • Residue or discoloration that cannot be cleaned off
  • Loss of structural integrity after repeated wears

With proper care, most sets can be worn 3–5 times; results vary depending on adhesive used, removal method, and handling.
